Acceptance of Terms

By using MyCustomPC℠ and submitting consultation requests, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Our Services

MyCustomPC℠ provides:

  • Custom PC building consultation services
  • Educational content about personal computers
  • Information about responsible PC disposal and recycling
  • Free consultation requests through our website

Consultation Process

When you submit a consultation request:

  • We will contact you to discuss your PC requirements
  • You receive 1 hour of free consultation with no obligation to purchase
  • We provide up to 2 revisions maximum on build recommendations
  • We will provide honest recommendations based on your needs and budget
  • We are allowed to make a counter build claim with the best ability to match your PC request and style with availability on the market with similar performance
  • Any PC building services are subject to separate agreements and pricing

Sales Policy & Returns

Once a price is agreed upon and a custom PC build order is placed, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or provide refunds based on buyer's remorse, change of mind, or preference changes after the agreement is finalized.

Custom PC builds are personalized to your specific requirements and cannot be resold as new systems. By agreeing to a build and price, you acknowledge that:

  • The sale is final and non-refundable once the order is confirmed
  • Cancellation or return due to buyer's remorse will not be accommodated
  • You have had adequate opportunity during the consultation process to review and approve specifications

Hardware Warranty & Component Failures

While all sales are final, we stand behind the quality of our builds. In the event of hardware component failures:

  • Individual components are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties (warranty periods vary by component and manufacturer)
  • We will work with you to diagnose hardware failures and determine the defective component
  • We will assist in facilitating warranty claims and RMA processes with component manufacturers
  • When a component fails under warranty, we will help determine available options including repair, replacement, or manufacturer warranty claim
  • Our goal is to ensure defective hardware is addressed through the appropriate warranty channels

This hardware warranty coverage applies to defects in materials, component failures, and manufacturing defects under normal use. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, physical damage, liquid damage, power surges, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear.

Software Support: Software-related issues are out of scope and not covered under warranty, with the exception of Windows licensing issues if the Windows license was purchased through us as part of your PC build. For Windows licenses purchased through MyCustomPC℠, we will assist with activation issues and licensing problems related to the original installation.

Extended software support, technical troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance services are available only through a custom Service Level Agreement (SLA) drafted specifically with the client. Such agreements define the scope, response times, and terms for dedicated technical support services beyond standard hardware warranty coverage.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information in consultation requests
  • Use our website and services in a lawful manner
  • Respect our time by being responsive to consultation communications
  • Not submit spam, fake, or malicious requests

Realistic Build Requests

We appreciate your interest in custom PC builds. To ensure efficient use of our consultation time and provide the best service to all customers:

  • Consultation requests should reflect realistic, practical PC build needs
  • Hypothetical or "dream build" inquiries without corresponding budget should be avoided
  • Truly custom or high-end builds are welcome when paired with appropriate budget expectations
  • We reserve the right to prioritize consultations based on project feasibility and budget alignment
  • Budget ranges should accurately reflect your actual spending capacity for the build

This helps us focus our expertise on customers ready to move forward with their custom PC projects while maintaining fair access to our consultation services.

Service Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue our business relationship and refuse service to any individual or entity if we determine that non-legitimate means, fraudulent activity, abuse of our services, or violations of these terms have occurred. This decision is at our sole discretion to protect the integrity of our business and other customers.

Educational Content

The information provided on our website is for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, technology changes rapidly and recommendations may vary based on individual circumstances.

Limitation of Liability

MyCustomPC℠ provides consultation services "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our website or services.

Intellectual Property

All content on MyCustomPC℠, including text, design, and educational materials, is our intellectual property and protected by copyright law.
